For the third consecutive year I will be playing the piano in Marbella on Friday 6th September 2019. Thanks to Arthur Rubinstein Institute for their invitation.
Twelve pianists from different parts of the world will share the same stage. We are allowed to a few minutes each to perform. However, the event will serve once again to share with young people who feel classical music as much as I do, and who knows if more than me š.
Having only a few minutes, I will play several small dances by the Cuban romantic composer Ignacio Cervantes (1847-1905): Lost Illusions, Improvised, Three strikes, Loneliness, The Fighting Cock Attacks.
As I said before, this will be my third time in Marbella. Previously, I was there in 2017 at The International Pianists Gala Concert organised by the Arthur Rubinstein Institute and Amigos de la MĆŗsica de Marbella at the Ralli Museum, where I was the youngest of all pianists. I was 8 years old. And then in 2018, when I won the first prize in the IV Marbella International Music Competition, Youth Category “Rising Stars”.
The place of the gala will be the recently restored Marbella Constitution Park Auditorium. The auditorium is outdoors, so I hope the weather will be with us. (crossed fingers).
